Norwich Zen Buddhist Priory

Norwich Zen Buddhist Priory is a place of meditation and practice for the Soto Zen tradition of Buddhism. It is the residence of a senior monk in the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives, Reverend Leoma Hague, who offers teaching and guidance to anyone who wishes to meditate and live a Buddhist life. The Priory is supported by a group of lay Buddhists in Norwich and across East Anglia who follow the Soto Zen tradition.

Amoghasiddhi (KBC) offers a special place of tranquillity, relaxation, reflection and friendship and is a door to inner peace. The centre provides a year-round programme ranging from weekly classes in meditation, day retreats, longer retreats, half-day courses and in-depth study programmes. Everybody needs peace of mind; therefore, everybody needs to train in meditation. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend – everyone can enjoy these practical classes.

The Founder of this remarkable Centre and a constant source of guidance and inspiration for all its activities is Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Everybody is welcome.
